Let me start off by saying, I have never done a blog before, this is a new adventure for me. I would like for you to get to know me a little better, this is a place that I can share ideas with you, and a way to bring healthcare content to you in a fun innovative way. So here we go....
I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I have been in the health care field for over 20 years. I know its hard to believe, but at the age of 18 I joined the US Army and became a combat medic, this was the start of my health are journey. Throughout the years, I had the opportunity to practice health care around the world. I currently reside in St. Mary's County Maryland for the past 8 years. I have a passion for the undeserved population. This is because growing up I did not have access to health care. I believe that everyone deserves access to health are no matter their situation. This is my sole purpose of forming my clinic.
NP Family Practice is a medical clinic currently located in Lexington Park, Maryland. We are not the traditional brick and mortar practice, we bring the doctors office to your place of home or business. We understand there are individuals in the community that have limitations (physical, cognitive, financial, transportation and time) getting to the clinic, so we bring the clinic to you. We offer primary care, telemedicine (video visits), physical clinics, classes and more. We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial health insurance plans. We also offer a fee for service and a health care membership plan for those that do not have health insurance.
Though it is a little scary breaking out on my own, I believe that NP Family Practice will provide needed services in the community. Its time to get the care that you and your love one has been waiting for.
